The renowned ResusX conference (ResusX Reunion) is returning to Philly on September 16-20, and they are looking for student volunteers! This is an invaluable opportunity for those remotely interested in emergency medicine, critical care, trauma, or pulmonology. Some significant reasons to consider volunteering include:
1) FREE medical education | Hear lectures from preeminent medical educators, including Dr. Mallamet (@criticalcarenow), Dr. Haywood (@heystevemd), Dr. Swaminathan (@emswami), Drs. Repanshek (@em_repansheks), Dr. Hagahmed (@hagamedmd), Dr. Torres (@sangrialovingairwaydoc) and more! Talks range from ventilation scenarios and mechanical circulatory support to sepsis and adrenal crisis. All volunteers will receive access to the virtual conference, so you'll have access to everything you miss.
2) Skills Workshops | Volunteer as an ultrasound model or assist with procedural workshops! Skills include intubation, central lines, pericardiocentesis, IO lines, basic/advanced echo views, FAST ultrasound exams, shock assessment, VeXuS assessments, and bougie assisted cric--to name a few. Nothing beats hands-on learning!
3) Networking | Connect with fellow students, residents, faculty, and attendings from around the world! Each day concludes with exciting social activities that bring everyone together. This conference is a great opportunity to make connections with peers outside of Philadelphia.
